Qualifications: 

Ability to work with ERC team of assistants

Ability to work well with special needs students

Understanding of age-appropriate behavioral issues

Knowledge and experience with basic computer operations desired

Ability to work one-on-one or in small groups

Ability to discipline with dignity

Ability to take initiative and be self-directed

Ability to stand, walk or sit on floor while working with students in the classroom or while supervising

Ability to physically lift, move or restrain a student on a regular basis

Must qualify or be able to meet standard for highly qualified para-professional

 

Requirements:

Two (2) years of college coursework or Associate’s Degree (may be waived pending successful performance on skills test administered by the District)
